 Sailing the blue waters off the coast of Hawaii's island of Moloka'i is a great way to see the island's beautiful red volcanic hills. As that red soil meets the blue ocean, it imparts its color and minerals to create the famous Hawaiian Red Sea Salt. The red alaea clay from these volcanic hills combines with the sea to give the local salt a complex, almost sweet taste all its own. We completed this masterpiece with Hawaiian cane sugar to imbue our Hawaiian Red Sea Salt Wine Chips with the salty and sweet flavors that have given Hawaii an important part of its culinary identity.

The native Hawaiians use the salt in many of their traditional ceremonial dishes for its unique flavor as well as its deep connection to their islands.
